Anyone ever relocate a raccoon?.

To the op, ever look into a dog? Where there's 1 racoon, there's bound to be more..

Dog isn't a bad idea, but a couple raccoons can take a dog. At my parents house my dad hit one in the face with a shoe and it just stood there staring at him, then he made a hissing/growling sound and threw his arms up in the air and the raccoon did it right back at my dad. Plus, the raccoons will just come eat the dogs food, unless you keep it inside.

Also, with the possibility of more than one. You run the risk of separating a mom from her babies. I have a family of 6 or 7 raccoons in a tree next to our fence. I'm not saying not to relocate it, it's a good idea, but maybe make sure its alone or make sure to trap all of them in a short period of time to relocate the family.

Yes dog is out of the question as I just have pets that you can go away for couple of days and they are fine plus I would never keep a dog outside .

I caught a cane toad and re-set it this am only to than catch another cane toad. I let them go field down the block.

I can only set the trap for Sat/Sun as during week with work impossible to drive to Glades and relocate.
Either way maybe due to all the rain in last 2 days but he/she hasn't returned .

I will say this Hava-hart trap is impressive .
