Anyone ever see a Sunfish quite like this?

That gill looks great. My buddy has a pool that he hasn't treated in over a year. So, this past spring I threw in a 4 inch bluegill and it is pushing 10 inches now. I'm pretty excited to see him get that big since 10 inches is trophy size here in KY. Now that winter is rolling around though I think I may have to stick him into the pond. I'd hate for the pool to freeze over on him if this winter gets too cold.

Cool looking fish indeed. Almost looks like a partial xanthic morph. You can get some weird markings with hybrids. One of the neatest I've seen though.
