Anyone Ever Used Tile as Substrate??

I used tile before and I didn't like it. Make sure you use a dark colored tile without any white spots or else algae will build up on the white areas and it'll look bad. Also the fish turds will stain the white areas and make them look pink. I had a tile with a cool looking design but because of those problems, I took it out. I'll just stick to 3m colorquartz sand.
CClump - nice Butti.....does he just run the tank and the other stay in the gator head? I have never had one, but I know they are beasts.
hes kind of a big pussy to be honest. He beats on the parrot fish but thats about it. The convicts will move him about when theyre having fry. Not sure what i want to do with him anymore really. not nearly as aggressive as advertised but whatever i put in this tank its definately a possibility of it getting destroyed. Really, Really smart fish though
