I agree with everything you typed...Bruce Lee was ahead of his time,I have a few of his books and plan to get a few more in the future,I've always wanted to learn JKD but there was no one nearby who knew and taught it.....Enter The Dragon came on about a week ago and it's one of those films where if it's on TV,and I'm not doing anything else,I'll watch it every time.I can't recall which, but there was this one fight scene in the movie where he was on the offensive and I was sitting there telling my wife,'here is the beginning of MMA'!...He went from punches and kicks,to chokeholds and leglocks down on the ground....and this was in the early seventies.svang55;4223111; said:i hear on the radio Karate Kid was #1 last weekend. is that true?
anyways, true bruce lee's movies did not seem to have as much action, props and better sets, but they were like a decade before. they had less to work with and was ahead of it's time at the time. the kung fu movies evolved after bruce lee made his mark but it all started from him imo. or he took it to another level and raised the bar
i didn't realize the picture of bruce lee's master in Chinese Connection is the same picture jet li used in his tribute to bruce in Fist of Legend. just a little trivia
Yeah, KarateKid was the box office winner last weekend......Good bit of trivia with the Jet Li movie,I'll have to remember and look for that picture in the scene.
