I believe consoles should be gaming primarily. Using it to surf the net is just retarded. That's why I have PCs. The only thing I like about being able to surf the net is watching youtube videos on my tv. Which I can do anyways by hooking my laptop up to my tv.

It is far from retarded. It came in very handy when I was waiting to get my new pc after a bit of a delay. We didn't have the laptop at the time so the ps3 filled the gap nicely.

Have it love it 60GB first gen with PS2 compatability. If you like shooters get the motion control for the PS3. Makes shooters much more fun. For games with story lines I love Dead Space but if you scare easily it will give you nightmares. Resident Evil 5 with motion control is unfreking believable almost called in sick so I could play more. New Castlevania is fun. Final Fantasy always has an in depth story line. Fallout 3 will soak up your freetime worse than a bad GF. Army Of two makes both good single and two player game. Ratchet and Clank is another favorite.
