anyone got a tame snapper???

When I had mine, I just handled him regularly and he became rather relaxed in my presence after some time (now how much of that is because of handling and how much of that was due to the turtle's natural personality, who knows). Of course, I was still overly cautious with the thing, I didn't want to lose any fingers lol. ^_~

Look at it's name man.That should sway you from this task altogether.
What you need to learn is proper handling, as when they are big, if your hands aren't in the right place while grabbing, you WILL find out how long it's neck goes back.

Several of my turtles allow me to pick them up or even want to because they know that there is the possibility that I put them in their feeding container. They will also come when asked to
Finely one of my 2 western painteds(unfornatly lost her in the last winter
) was one of the most laid back turts I ever come across, full of personality, unlike any turts I ever seen she will not go away if surprised basking in the sun, I could pick her up and she would continue basking in my hand like nothing happened for like 20minutes
