anyone have a largemouth with their pbass?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I keep 1 LMB with two PBass.

they show some aggression towards eachother, but nothing other than a quick snap.

they get along fine, just feed them equaly and they seem to not show as much aggression

Ive kept LMB with cichla before as well with no issues. Well, I should say minimal issues. Anytime you put apex predators in close proximity of each other there will be some aggression. My LMB was in with 4 cichla, 2 of which were a pair of Orinos. They put the LMB in its place pretty often but there wasnt anything too serious. Size matching is the real key.

I have a 6-7" LMB with my peacock bass in the same tank. I have 3x 5" orinos, 2x 7-8" monos, 1x 11" tem that live happily with him.

As for smallmouth bass, they will not do great as they don't grow as fast, and need colder water than peacock bass.

Well then would anyone want to catch me 2 LMB 3-5". Let me know what you want. THANKS
Your gonna have to find them from down south the northern strain of lmb may not handle 85 degree water well. But ill bet the southern strain would thrive in it so that would count me out .not to mention they are under 4 inches of ice and dont bite much this time of year.

I have a smallmouth and have had largemouth too. and it seems everytime i had more than one they would bully eachother, both smallmouth and largemouth. Usually over food but my current smallmouth has claimed the lives of 2 largemouth, 1 yellow bullhead catfish, and 1 other smallmouth. U could try it out but if u c any sign of bullying remove one of the bass immediately. Ive had peacocks too but they didnt live long with my channel catfish. My smallmouth is 9 inches now and loves to eat everything. I would choose smallmouth over largemouth because they look cooler and are more aggressive. U could get yours from a fish hatchery thats where i got mine when he was 2 inches.
