So today i came home and i find 8 large kois and goldfishes in my Aro tank, each one of them are bigger then the 5 inch aro. So he is getting startled pretty easy.

I got so pissed. i yelled at my dad for putting them in my tank without asking me. He dont even have a place to put them in, beside in my tank.
me and him already have a bad history so i get PO at him easy. i dont mind that they are in there, but im Pissed because he didnt ask me if he can put it in.

What do you guys do when your family members put unwanted fish in your fish tank?

So for ranting i just wanted to vent.

um well by now people around me know not to mess with my tanks...sorry about that man, that kinda stuff does happen with roommates, especially when you live at home. Really nothing you can do but try to explain to them what youre trying to do

i dont have these issues.. if i did.. their fish would be placed in diy tanks sitting on their beds... and theres a good chance i would do much flipping out over the lack of quarantining

when you live at home with the folks... theres not much you can do other than move out..

the only problem ive ever had was i came home from work one day to find all the decor in my tank toppled over and moved around. turns out my wife wanted to show off "our" pleco to her friends, but had to get it out of hiding first. this action is from a woman that not once has dared to even get close to the tank out of fear of being bitten by a fish.

I had a tank at work that I came in one morning to find 3 goldfish in. They were my boss's kid's fish, and his 2 gallon bowl (don't get me started) cracked. I plainly, but politely explained to my boss and his son that my tank was not an appropriate environemtn for the fish, and I was going to give them to the pet store so that someone who had a perfect tank for goldfish would be happy to take them home. And then I told my boss that if his kid came within a hair's breadth of my tank again, or if he thought it would be okay to monkey with it himself to show off, I would quit with no notice and no worries.

But if I came home to find a random fish in my display tanks, you might expect the Apocolypse. I might even have to practice a little smiting to get my point across.

lol, if my dad was home, i would seriously start throwing the fishes out of my tank at him

wow.. thats gutsy... i dunno if i would say i will quit no notice and no worries...

but i would be pissed if someone messes with my tank....

I'd have thrown those mutant carp into his bed and reminded him that it's your tank.
