I'd have thrown those mutant carp into his bed and reminded him that it's your tank.

lol you would go for the godfather type of warning then.

I dont have a problem cos my wife isnt into fishkeeping. she likes me to have catfish/loaches in whatever set up i have but other than that she dont touch them. she talks to them when she feeds them though, so i know she like them more than she lets on.
she knows i would go ballistic if anyone done anything without asking me first.

My girlfriend uses my love for my fish as an angle i remember we were fighting and i found here waiting for me to come into the living room so i can see here with the soap bottle hovering over my tank with her finger on the trigger!!!needless to say she didnt do it:WHOA:

I don't have problems with my tank, the family respects my tank, lol. I don't think a gold fish would survive in my tank anyways, lol.

So far the only thing bad happening to my tank, is my 0ne year old girl feeding my Guppies with the foam she pulled of my speakers....
She and her little brother will undoubtably pull more stunts in the future,
but anyone in his right mind wouldt not dare touch my tank!

My mom esspecially comes over during holidays, to cake for my dog, birds and FISH!
Cuz i don't trust anyone else. And she taught me the love of animal keeping.
Which comes with care and planning.

If your fish was a bit older your dad's action would have put a smile on your face, but for now, it SUCKS!

i have issues with sharing my tank....

little things as well, like someone else naming one of the fish. no one has tried to put any fish inside - and i don't think that would go down particularly well either.

call it only child syndrome, but my tanks is mine. lol.

sounds like a touchy subject that could make an ugly atmosphere in the house, i know its ball busting but id personally negotiate something, bring up how it could cause health problems for the aro and what not. Good luck

i find the opposite problem.....i went away to my grans last week and found that she had given away my GALS (snails)!!!
she did the same a few years ago with my hamster.
atm i cant find my peacock eel...havnt seen him for weeks...she never liked him.
she hated my huge plec....he died soon after she mentioned about getting rid of him and i said no. :irked:
