Since this has been brought back up I feel I should mention that I pulled the trigger and currently have a GG (~6") with my IT (~6") and smaller NTT (3") and I haven't had any issues thus far.
Other tankmates are a 13" Black Spotted Eel, 6" Black Shark (removed for being too aggressive) and two 4" Silver Barbs.
The IT is the quite boss of the tank and only rarely needs to assert dominance when rare squabbles occur. Other than that the tank is running smoothly with very little to no aggression.
Will post an update in the future once they've continued to put on some more serious size.
