did everything myself cept bore the motor (lack of machining eqip.) but i put it together myself. And where did you get your clocking ring? as my buddy is putting a dana 300 on the 2.5.. lemme know
 
sucks its a 2.5 (w. the AX5 tranny) . Mine i had made for 100, but its just a clockring because the output shaft on my ax15tranny and the input shaft for D300 are 23 so they mate up. Since the input shaft on your buddies jeep is 21, he would need the Ring and 23input,21out adapter shaft. I beleive advanced adapters has one, but your lookin to pay a pretty good amount for it. If i were your friend, i would look into a Slip yoke eliminator, its cheaper then what hes pay for the adapter kit and the D300. Also the only benefits of a D300 is its already got a fixed yoke and its stronger then the 231. How much lift is he goin for? http://eshop.advanceadapters.com/commerce/ccc1075-manual-adapters.htm if he has money, i have seen a ax15 put on a 4cyl to replace the AX5

Thats a sweet Jeep i wouldnt wanna scratch it!!, did u by any chance do the "budget lift" with that, cuz u can get like 5.5 inches from it..
 
Hey, nice WJ! What kind of lift kit do you have on that? I'm planning on doing a 3 inch lift kit on my ZJ sometime next year.

I had a Budget but I am running 3" OME Lift Springs. Anything above that and it is $$$$$$$$$$. Long Arms, Trackbar, Etc. Thanks For The Comments, but I beat on it real hard, and crawl over just about anything. Next Mod Will be Rear Locker, and when I blow the axle up, I will do a Rear axle swap.

Yeah good stuff.. Also Claytons has a nice long arm kit. Just got rid of my zj, was gonna get a full size truck but a wj is tempting.

I've never seen anyone go 5.5" from a budget lift.. I wouldn't go over 4" honestly without alot of other suspension being upgraded..
