Anyone into kung fu movies??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lol@flying over trees. That's why I stopped watching Kung fu movies a decade ago. I enjoyed them with my dad as a kid and then said screw it as technology got involved

i'm ok with flying type powers

why wouldn't I be if I am ok comic book movies where powers are more extreme than just flying?

krich, I thought the cgi in zero was too much. maybe it was more of it looking too fake versus it being cgi in general. and again, it started out great I thought, but it got really dumb as the movie went on

I dont look at it that way because I don't view kung fu movies as part of the super hero/powers genre.I cant get with Chow Yun Fat or any of the others flying around like the man of steel.

And that my friends is why I jumped out of the genre. Go old school or go home. No flying, no pig tail fu, no walking on branches, no jumping over buildings

to each their own I guess

it's almost the same to me. i enjoyed crouching tiger. it's probably the best kung fu movie ever that is main stream. the story was good, good actors, it dragged at certain parts and i hated the freaking ending, also i wished for a more powerful villain. other than that it was a great movie. i can't wait for the sequel, or prequel or whatever it is

it is a little strange that you guys can't look passed the tree top walking and extreme parkour stuff for the plot and acting

Anyone into Shaw Bros? An urban exploration team just visited the old Shaw studios and posted some cool pictures. It's crazy, it looks like one day they just stopped filming and left. Fu Shengs funeral memorial in his dressing room is even still up, eeeerie :/

Most of my favorites from the eighties are by Shaw Brothers.
