Anyone into kung fu movies??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I watched the clip for the movie and saw that it is not the same movie that featured the Venoms guys....This one seems like some kind of Chinese Carneys lol.

oh ok, sorry. I really mix up these kung fu movies a lot :/ Just recently when I saw Return to the 36th, I actually was looking for the first one, and grabbed the wrong dvd :D

Any good ones I should keep an eye out on Netflix for? I've seen all of the Ong Bak's, The Protector, The Raid 2, most of the Jackie Chan flicks...I need recommendations and places to find the good ones!

Netflix has True Legend and Tai Chi Zero, not sure if you already saw those but they are pretty good if you haven't.

I don't have Netflix so I can't comment there, but I often see great classics CHEAP at fye.

thai chi zero started off good, then it got lame. I watched thai chi hero also. and no lie, I couldn't even tell you now what the hell it was about. that's how lame it was

I watched like ten minutes of true legend and had to leave to do something. I never cared to go back to try it again. too much cgi for me

I don't mind wire fu, if it has good acting and good story I can watch it. I can't do too much cgi

I dont mind cgi depending on how it is done in a film and I dont think it was overdone in Zero or maybe I just liked that Zero was something different with the steam punk touches that were thrown in.The sequel,Tai Chi Hero totally blew chunks to me;I dont kniw what they were thinking with that mess....True Legend got really good near the end with the fightscenes and the awesome villian.
I guess it also depends on how wire fu is done also but movies like Crouching Tiger and a similar film whos name escapes me really turned me off with the actors flying around over trees and standing on the tips of tree branches. That stuff is just too much for me to take and I'll lose interest in it in no time.
