I just got finished watching Mortal Kombat Legacy on one of those movie streaming sites. It's straight to video but it seems like it's better than the previous installments that have come out.
no, unfortunately, i don't think there are any footages of any exhibition fights. only demonstrations.
i loved reading about when bruce started teaching in the states and the masters in the area was forbidding him to teach to non chinese and they issued a challenge to bruce. you lose, you stop teaching, you win, you can teach who you want type of thing
that was actual events and he really did accept the challenge. in movies, that fight was portrayed as an epic battle. but in real life, the fight was a lot of the challenger running away until bruce got his hands on him and the fight was over. the challenger and the guy that went with him has their own version and they say that the fight lasted like 20 minutes or something. but either way, bruce continued to teach who ever he pleased, so regardless, we know who won
Sumo, have you seen "Bruce Lee, The Man The Myth?" It's one of those brucesploitation movies starring Bruce Li. I don't know how you feel about Bruce Lee knockoffs, but I liked it. The movie starts off with Bruce's move to the states, (guess he really didn't want to come here) and covers alot of the stories about the challenges he faced while here, from karate masters, to muy thai fighters, to challenges made to him on the sets of his movies. The movie is low budget so be prepared, but I liked the movie, and assuming everything was correct, really impressed me with how often he had to prove himself.
Also, somewhere along the way I read Ip Man was one of the masters who did not want Bruce to teach non chinese, I don't remember where I read it, so it's hard to say if it is valid, it may have been a yahoo who made a youtube comment, have you heard anything to that effect?
