Anyone into oddball plants?

I know bonsais are not rare nowadays, but I am going to make my own. Just bought the special pots from China Town, and I am going to start with rosemary since it is an easy shrub to grow in California and makes great deadwood bonsai. Other wise I have a pomegranate tree in the process of dying and I may order a dragon fruit plant when I get back home.

I have 2 mangroves growint in my tank that i brought back from the Keys. I also have an agave azul (tequila cactus) that ive been growing for the last 7 years

^i think thats where I got mine. Mine is far older than 5 years though. But mine is a off shoot oof the original which died myteriously.


Iv also been looking for E. novogranatense seeds but man they are expensive and rare. Those would be strictly for facination and not ingestion. Wife also aint too keen on those either.
 
Not really a plant I guess but I have a cold hardy palm tree in my yard.I have had it for about three years now and have kept it outside for the past two winters.I have quite a few tropical houseplants that I will have to post about as well.

Not sure how common they are but the most out of place for my area is probably my papyrus

Me too. I got venus fly trap seeds in high school and tried to grow them but failed miserably. My bonsai trees are a marvel to me cuz I definitely have a black thumb! lol
