Anyone into oddball plants?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just my black mangroves and leather ferns, the other stuff in my tank is pretty normal, household cat palm, peace lilies, and water hyacinth...

Venus fly traps grow really really well outdoors in full sun, I used to have huge pots here in Oregon outside all year, they would die back in winter and go nuts in the spring. Sadly where I live now is all shaded everywhere so I can't grow most carnivores

Now speaking of those dwarf banana plants, is it just the fruit that's dwarf or is the plant dwarf? Cause I have quite a few dwarf banana producing plants that aren't very dwarf plants.
And a suggestion on the dragon fruit, try finding the red or orange variety.

What are your winters like and do you now your zone for plants?

those look interesting. I've been meaning to grow something edible, these maybe be where I start.

Burpee is one of the only US vendors with pineberry and the only people allowed to sell Purple Wonder. The pineberrys are in very limited supply, so if your interested order now. They ship in a month.
