My favorite monster cat.. so beautiful..

they are very skittish and will smash their noses against tank walls, etc so approach the tank slow. Beautiful!

I didnt use flash to take only on my tank light.

tigriuns yes its me :) how are you doing? Beautiful cat, I find that if you spend a lot of time watching them and all, they will calm down a lot and not be as skittish

Been looking up your fish to find out more info, but apparently, back in 2005, Brachyplatystoma flavicans was renamed to Zungaro Zungaro, but your fish doesn't look like any pictures of Zungaro Zungaro that I can find, more similar to Brachyplatystoma platynemum, except for the colour. Interesting looking fish none-the-less. What sort of size does this get?

Zungaro Zungaro is Jau catfish. And the name Zungaro Zungaro seem to be used in a few catfish. Eg. Zungaro Bubble Bee Catfish.

As for Brachyplatystoma platynemum it is 747 also know as Goslina platynema

Brachyplatystoma flavicans new name is Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii.
Feel free to post any of it picture here. Seem like there is not much info about this cat online.

It will grow up to 1.9m in the wild.

My LFS also selling Brachyplatystoma vaillantii at the same price. But my worry is hosing them...Going to need bigger house.

Best Regards
Martin
Hey we share the same name

Hi Martin
Ahhh...name change and I can find it!
I use PlanetCatfish a lot, but missed that one when looking through the list of possible candidates. Not a fish for me (way too big for any tank I hope to have), but very nice. As you say, SL is listed as just under 75":WHOA:, so not a fish for your average 4' ;).
Sorry - am new here - what size tank(s) do you have?
Martin
