Do you still have the original one?

How often do you come across small specimens of these? Less than 3"?

Original?? I have them when they are 4" since i started this thread. base on that date can see my growth rate. both still doing fine. but my 1st one grow slower then my new one. I notice they grow in mass and not length.

They still dash so to stop that I use cushion padding... As they only swim in length. And it works, it recover from some banging injury. And look very perfect. Vittatus is SGD65 can check out my other collection of dorado too.

Cushion padding? Where you put the padding and how? Got pics to show?

Vittatus are also easily startled and likes to bang on the side of the glass tank, sometimes the mouth will get injured badly!

How many dorado do you have?

How big is your tank?? I was so piss everything they got injured due to banging onto glass. So i get those big black colour square sponge for filter which is 2" thick and place 1 each at each side of the glass. And it works perfectly and recover from those past injury. There is even a 4" thick but i dun think that is needed. To stick on glass just cut 1"+ tru and use sucktion clip to hold them in 4 corner. And best of all the sponge provide as some kind of fileration too if under it put air bubble.

If I were to buy one I will keep in a 90 x 45 x 45cm tank. Somebody in indo selling one for USD$110 only but the downside I think there is a slight bend on the front snout? Fish is 5inch big!

The padding looks like a good idea, thx for sharing!
