Hi
Has anyone kept largemouth bass for months/yrs?

Interested in water temps-PH- any other input.

I am planning a 75 gallon for 1 very small large mouth bass will be natural set up with lots driftwood but leaning towards bare bottom just driftwood .
food will be crickets - roaches all raised in captivity

Thanks

thanks for the info wont keep one as I subscribe to "if your not going to keep them correctly dont keep them at all"

it looks like a 75 to small and dont want to cramp a fish

Thanks

These fish can get big - 20+ lbs are possible, 15 more realistic for top end. Think 8x4x3 or so... and then it will be tight.

But yeah, there is a Natives section on here... I plan on keeping one when I finally enclose my office and build a tank (see above measurements for goal)

Did not know they got that big think in my area the Peacock bass must chase away the bigger large mouth bass as the Peacock bass here are HUGE while the large mouths I have caught while fishing ranged from 4 inches to 9 inches (ofcourse let them go)
Thus didnt think they got back glad I asked

I had a large mouth bass in a 240 for three years. When i brought him her home she was 3 lbs and when i let her go into my pond she was over 5.Lbs.I later caught her from the pond and she was 7 lbs.
