anyone kept a duck?

I have 4 ducks right now. They have a little pen on the side of my house, a creek and a few kiddie pools. They eat egg-layer pellets and varied greens everyday. During the winter, I put hay down and cover their pen with a tarp..it stays pretty toasty in there even when its below freezing (this will have to vary depending on what species you have). They seem pretty happy and lay eggs for most of the year.

Ducks need shelter. If you leave them out they will be attacked or killed by a cat or some other predator. You will have to lock them up for the night and let them back out in the morning. How big is your pond? You do know ducks produce a lot of waste so you would have to drain the water out quite some time.

wiggles that'd be awesome.

might take on some ducks is they need to be rescued other then that i wont be in much of a rush to get one just yet. am going to have to plan out yet another pond.
