Anyone know anything about scorpions?

I have been stung a couple times, once by a calirornia brown bark scorpian, very painful but no real problem, and once by an unidentified Panamanian species. It was too squashed to ID, I sat on it. Also painful but accomapied by swelling and a mild fever for a couple days.

Not itchy, sore, after the initial pain went away it ached like I had been smacked with a hammer.

I've had Emperors before and other scorps. I only was stung once and it was my fault. It was just like a bee sting. They eat anything that doesn't eat them including pinky mice. If you keep several together, be sure you give them lots of space and hiding place and water. Never keep any other animals with them. Scorps are neat as they have their babies live and they live on the mom's back. Sometimes they'll have young even when there is no mate.
Whatever you do, make sure you know what kind you are getting. Stay away from the dangerous hot species. It's not IF you'll get stung it's WHEN. A sting from a hot ( extremely venomous) species will be very unpleasant and possibly life threatening.
Goo luck.

Hey get a Honduran, there small but nasty. If you want something really interesting try a whiptail, you can get them tailless if your scared!

My wife won't let me have scorpions.
