well i think we have cleared the fact that jags are illegal here in utah, so does anyone know of any good look alikes? they gotta have some attitude(they have to compete with a red texas and a green terror) gotta have the pattern, and must fit in a 8-14 inch range of size(that way i can get 2!) i have a 125 with some kick A filters on the way(its almost setup) and lots of fake driftwood. so are their any jag look alikes that fit the bill?

jags grow to almost 18....... dovis i believe will murder everything he has mentioned if their reputation lives up to itself Nd cubans grow to 10 not sure how they would do with gts nd rds

Ohh ya, sorry my bad.

No Doviis with a GT and RT in a 125. They will live up to their reputation.

I agree with Balton. Cubans would be the closest. But i think they are pretty rare, well at least ive never seen one.

Yeah, you better have a monster tank for a Dovii as well lol. I think that Jeff Raps Might have some Cubans, just shoot him an email.

Logic would suggest some of the smaller parachromis genus might be suitable. Motaguensis, loisellei or friedrichsthalii.

Well the OP stated something that looks as close to a Jag as possible. Parachromis genus fish will have a similar body shape, but color and pattern are not close.
