No need for suspension in the midwest??? I beg to differ. I ride a cf trek Y series. The buddy I rode with sold his so I had to go out and get a full suspension GT as a loaner. That way when I suggest riding all my other buddies famous "I don't have a bike" excuses are null and void. We ride parks here in Iowa.... Theres no good stuff but enough to warrant full suspension. ESPECIALLY beings that most of the trails we ride are also horse trails.
Any Minnesota people here? Wondering if they open up Mt. Kato to mountain bikes in the summer????
Well, not crazy old... but I love the ones from the 60's.
I picked up a '64 in the summer and got a '72 rebuilt by a local guy I found.
The '64 is completely original - one of those lucky finds where the guy's dad had it in his garage for the past 25 years or so. The '72 isn't original anymore, but man that thing rides like nothing else.
Just beautiful bikes! The fabrication shows an attention to detail and basically a time when things were done right, not just pressed and poorly-welded parts like today.
