Rabbit manure is considered cold manure and does not required that it be aged. If you use horse manure it requires 90-120 days to age before you can safely use it on crops which you are going to eat. Also horse manure is considered hot manure (with lots of nitrogen) and it will burn your plants. Someone offered me 3 free rabbits on craiglist but I can't care for them. I wish I could. I'd have to build a pen for them and I don't have the space, or really the time/energy to raise them. I take care of a garden, pond, several fish tanks, 4 dogs, and cat. So I don't want another responsibility. I may just hit up a place that sells them and ask if I could take the manure.
