. I went to start it about two weeks ago and it wouldn't start and turn over. Turns out I ran it too hot coming in and really didn't sit for a minute before turning it off. Took the bike to my buddy's machine shop where he does his block work for me and other's. Took the head intake and head off to discover a blown head gasket and a fried piston. That's what 14:1 compression will do. It was all kind of good because it gave me a reason to tear into the motor and give me something to do this spring before summer. Last year it was port and polishing the heads and stretching it this year it will sport all forged interals now including piston, re-sleeved, and bored 25 mm. Hopefully that should push me past most of those 1000's out there.
