Anyone remove hooks from lures ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its delicate work. i usually insert another hook into the split ring, which usually ends in my poking myself painpully with the hook, or, occasionally, the outer layer of skin on my finger gets skewered (and slid 1/2 way around) the ring. That actually doesnt hurt much, but will make anyone squirm:irked:

but agian the back hook is the one usually that gets caught in the eye.

not me, i leave all hooks in and do the best i can to minimize injury and stress the fish other than the hook

Do you press down the barbs with pliers?

Since I got that suggestion in this forum must say LOVE it . Will never use barbs again.

Its as easy as as can be to remove fish from barbless hooks. For the fish its as close to not being hooked as can be as hooks slide right out.

I won't use hooks with barbs ever again.
