I read those too and said why would they pick on the pirahna's.. i only blamed the one who did the video.. no fish are at fault here.. and why some posters say what they say could be just that they feel angry and frustrated after they watch the video and they are just expressing what first comes across their mind.. i am sure alot of the posters that write nagatives things towards the p's did not mean it.. just their reaction..

I know you defended the Parihna, and were the voice of reason which is great, glad to see your head is on straight. I was annoyed aswell, but I didn't go posting about killing the fish or the maybe the guy, sticking his arm or face in the tank could cause fatal wounds.
He was a jerk and I want him punished and locked up or fined. Venting out in anger in a malicious form helps no one, all it does is cause more problem. Alot of the people who wrote about their hatread towards P's were both well writen and intellgently discused on the subject.
It is not just the Pirahna bashing that I dislike (I myself am no fan, Silver Dollars look better but without the danger) but the fact that people think its OK to feed goldfish but not aros. This is what Delgado was saying before everyone attacked him (he should of picked his wording better).



Why post this in the Arowana Section, I know it is a Arowana getting eaten but souldn't the real problem/discussion be about fish cruelty? Not the fact that an Arowana was used as a feeder fish "instead" of a Goldfish.

I feel that I can disagree with this video because 1 of my 2 aros has never had a feeder, and the other hasn't since I got it. In no way am I being hypocritical by saying what he did was wrong.

Most people aren't complaining that a fish ate another fish, it's the fact that it was long, drawn out, recorded, and posted for the enjoyment of the sick (and possibly mentally unstable) creator.

COULDNT AGREE MORE! My silver has never eaten a live feeder. none of my fish eat feeders anymore. that was obviously made for some sick morons amusement.

Im big, so the stick wont be required, you can carry two. Sometimes people need the torch shined in their eyes to realise that there is a light in front of them.

This video was not about feeding and feeders.. this video was a Rome circus experiment, a snuff film, a video of gore. We did not see an aro get eaten by a shoal of red bellies. We saw an aro getting bitten by the milimitre because, above everything, they did not even start recognizing the aro as food...and we saw aguy that gets his rocks off watching this....

My criticism of Delgado has nothing to do with his opinion. He is free to have his opinions and face the consequences.

I criticise the frequently ofensive way he forwards his opinions...

I assume he did not like what he saw in the vid. But more so, didn't like what he saw in the thread, people bashing P's and saying why use an aro as a feeder. Like I said, he worded it worng, I said the same thing differently without the some criticism recieved.

-The film is sick and twisted and no fish should be put through that for entertainment.
-Feeder fish are exactly that, if someone condems someone for feeding off an aro instead of a goldfish, they are a d**k, simple as that.

I think all of us in our own way got our point across.. we are the innocent so for us to argue and bash each other does not help this cause.. this is so wrong .. and the person or persons who put this video together for it's shock effects certainly got his kicks and audience .. maybe someday he will get his ..some how or someway.. but what is important now is that here on MFK people see how this is not acceptable or tolerable in our fishkeeping.. we shall ban this type of person harshly.. and try to teach people that if your going to have animals {any} treat them with respect and kindness.. and that all fish are equal..

That is not the point.. it does not matter what fish it was..the point is that it was totally done for shock ,for sadistic, for sick purposes.. nothing more and nothing less..it does not make a difference how many silvers or how many p's or if it were a RTC.. it was done for evil not anything else.. Now you know NOVA why theres no point in talking sometimes.. they just don't get it..I quit this discussion because it is going nowhere and everyone can see for them selves just watching the video..

As for the "fish is a fish" argument that is correct to a certain extent but "unspoken rules",so to speak, have been developed in our hobby and others as far as what is an acceptable feeder and what isnt,and there are many reasons for it,but thats another debate completely.

You dont feed a mandarin dragonette to your volitan lion for example,and to relate it to something not aquarium focused you wouldnt use a ferret to feed your snake as opposed to a feeder rabbit.
