Anyone taking Philosophy class?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldn't say that philosophy is a useless class. It just doesn't give you that tangible education that most think they should get. It's more about critical thinking and looking outside the box. I personally loved the class. There were tons of assignments, but I'm all the better for taking it.

Amen to that perspective. Only physics/math majors get higher LSAT scores (test to get into law school) than philosophy majors.

I resent that. I was a business major and I dominated the LSAT thank you very much. :p ;)

I never said it was a useless subject, just that it was useless subject for me to take...
Anyway, as i mentioned before, i did love the class it was very interesting although it drained me at times trying to argue the impossible...

I don't actually take philosophy, but I do note take for disabled students. One lecture was to cover a philosophy lecture.... I walked away in utter confusion, from what I gathered the central question was 'Do octopus feel pain'.

It is a course I have to take for BMLS. I started it online in January. Haven't touched it yet haha. Its health care ethics. Its due in June, so I still have lots of time to do it.

Become a firefighter move up the ranks and at the same time become a fire engineer or a arson investigator. My Lt. works as a full time firefighter and he does arson investigations and fire inspections. He makes $$$ from doing all three :) If I do become an arson investigator I want to work for the ATF. ;) Firefighter works days are flexible(depending where your located). Here they work 2 days and have 4 days off. Working 48's :D. During that 4 days you can work with insurance companies or private companies to do arson investigations. You can make a lot of money by doing that.

Yeah go for paramedic school. Almost all departments are looking for firemedics now. I hope to do paramedic school soon. CDF and wildland crews dont make much money :( It is hard work from what I heard and you have to be an excellent tree climber :D(if you are a smoke jumper and parachute is stuck in a tree). I did an online application for U.S Forrest Service so I can work there for the summer, but never got a reply.
