I guess my question is where were you getting the water from when you killed your fish?? I know how a sink works and a python....but how were not able to the correct temp. water before the python.

Before I purchased the python, I would add prime to my tank then add water from the garage with a hose. I live in Ohio so the water temperature from the garage was really cold. It turn my tank temp to about 65 degrees or a little lower. My geo's were turning belly up and I scoped up all 10 of them and put them in my feeder tank with had the same temp as my display tank, 80 degrees. Luckily they snapped out of it and I did not KILL any.
I hope you understand where I got the water now before I purchased the python to control my water temp.[/QUOTE]

Control temp. You can get a big rubbermaid from HD or Lowes. Fill it up the night b/4 you do w/c. Stick a heater in rubbermaid with air pump. The water temp should be good to go next day;)

Nice sugguestion and I have thought about this but the wife rejected this idea. I have enough fish crap around my house. She does not want to look at anymore of my toys laying around. Python works for my temp prob.

Glad its working. sucks it doesnt have enough water pressure however... Mine hooked to the sink drains 50 gallons in about 15 minutes... :headbang2 Though I have switched to the filling barrel the night before and treating with prime and heating then pumping it into the tank method out of paranoia :nilly:
