I am starting this stuff soon to quit smoking curious if any one else tried it. :)

room mate did at one point. said it worked, but he started again like a year later....so who knows...

plus the rage issues side effect that a lot of people get. a girl I work with had to stop taking it because she punched through a wall.

Pfizer has received notice of 37 suicides and 400 attempts due to this drug

i am over 14 months without a smoke. used chantix......seemed to work. expect vivid dreams, both good and bad.......

good luck quitting

I need more lasting energy for sparring I hit a wall at about 20 minutes of hard sparring. I think if I clean out the tobacco problem I will be a better all around fighter.

Thanks for the support guys. Hope it works for me.

I was on Chantix about 2 years ago. It helped me quit, I know how it was quitting without medication because I once went cold turkey and another time with the gum/patch. Chantix works by not making you feel to smoke, even if you do smoke - you don't feel the nicotine, so it doesn't give you that relieve like you used to get - so you get used to hating to smoke as you go along with the medication. I relapsed though a year ago, although I have a 3 weeks supply left; I can quit anytime I want. :)

we perscribe this to patients all the time. it works on most people that want to quit smoking. one of the most common side effects are bad dreams. i've seen people quit after 1 week it usually take a bit longer. give it a try. cheaper then cigarettes in the long run.
