The prices seem very good, even with shipping and he has a variety of foods. Was curious if anyone is using or has used his food and which kind and what they think of it.

I love Ken's for not only food but other supplies as well. I use his cichlid flake and soft & moist sinking pellets with spirulina as my staple foods for all my tanks. I have also used his earthworm flakes and some of the floating pellets. All of it is good quality at reasonable prices.

His prices are competative on filters, media, and air pumps as well. Definitely my internet supplier of choice.

Yeah I was looking at his moist sinking pellets, looked very interesting. I just ordered my fish food for the month but next month I'm going to mix in some of his stuff and see how my fish like it.

I've found that the customer service has declined over the yrs, but he does have quality food and prices. I buy my NLS there.

I looked at the ingredients and analysis and will NOT be giving it a try. Not as good as it should be.

I would go with NLS.

His sinking earthworm pellets will put some serioius growth on fish, and everything likes them. Some of the food doesn't have the best ingredients but they aren't all equal. Good for a lot of other stuff also. Would recommend.

I used to feed the Ken's pellets exclusively but I've switched over to mostly using NLS. I still order the NLS from ken though. To be perfectly honest I don't really see a whole lot of difference in color or growth since switching to NLS but I still believe the NLS to be a superior pellet so that's what I use. Ken's pellets certainly won't hurt your fish though nor will it hinder growth or anything like that. :)

Sorry for bumping a somewhat 'older' thread.

But have been reading a few threads lately where people are trying to supplement their fish food bill by using dog food and cat food. Some of the foods over on Ken's site you can buy 1/2lb of food for $5 - that seems like a pretty darn good deal to me. I do like NLS too, but I can't buy 1/2lb of NLS for that price. And if it's decent food (not top of the line but certainly not at the bottom) and is affordable then I see no reason why it's not popular.

I know I'll be ordering a few 1/2lb packages of his food next month when I start getting low on fish food (I order fish food once a month).
