Was thinking about picking some up today but cant seem to find many good videos or pictures of how they look on youtube. Alot of double bright videos but no single brights

i use the beamswork leds they sell on ebay. They are less expensive and produce as much or more light.

My dad uses them on three of his tanks. I'd say they're about the same as the Beamswork lights.

I got a 48" on my 33l and it's pretty bright but don't know what your planning on putting it on. It all depends on the depth of the tank, if shallow then it might be ok but if anything deeper than 15-18" might be dim.

def looking into some beamwork lights. they are a hell of alot cheaper. i am wondering if they have the shimmering effect though like marinelands

Beam works lights are cheaper in the short run but they have a problem with LED's going out quickly. I know I am not the only one to have problems with them. I had 12 go out in less than a month.

It's LEDs themselves that produce the shimmering effect, not particular brands. Definitely get the Beamswork lights. They're reliable, decent quality, and best of all, half the price of equivalent LED fixtures. I have the Reef Capable fixtures on both of my tanks and they work/look great and the plants love them.

The marinelands have the option to switch back and forth between normal light and the blue moonlights ands the shimmering effect is cool. Posting a before and after for you. Colormax fluorescent lights, then the marineland leds. I have no experience with the other brand you mentioned. The marineland leds were much brighter with the glass top and they do reach 22 inches down just fine.

Note: the lights in the room in the first picture (with the standard top) are on. The lights in the room in the second picture are not on, except for a small lamp.
