I have a beamworks 48" on a 120g tank that is 24" tall and it lights it pretty well.

can you post a pic? and also whats the length of your tank, i just ordered a 48 inch for my 125 gallon (72" wide)

My Tank size is 48X24X24

The single bright works well on my 40 breeder but for anything over 21" tall I'd suggest the double bright.

I am pleased with the way the single bright looks on my 24" tall 120g

I switch mines manually to moonlight before I go to bed. There is a thread on a cichlid forum about a mod to separating the moonlight's from the daylights but you will void warranty.

I have two 36"Beamsworks on my 125. They are the normal version and are not bright at all.

well i kind of like the look of darker water with a shimmer just because i have 2 peacock bass with driftwood. Makes it look more natural to me personally so idk we will see. I ordered it from amazon so they're pretty cool about returns.

I have lost 6 leds on my beamworks in 2 months. They are a good fixture but not the most reliable. U may get a months or a year out of them. Not many people on here have had them that long. My buddy from work has 3 on his 300 gallon and lost some leds on 2 of them and the other only has blue lights working now. Checkout truaqua.com as they have fixtures with 400+ leds for around the same price as the marineland but have white, blue, and red leds
