I'd be willing to be 50% of people here use one or more, you'll get plenty of advice and info on them.

what exactly would you like? basic praise?

Have you done a search should be a ton of info on those bad boys.

How long do you keep the lights on in the tank? Does the room where the tank is located get alot of light?

I have the FX5 on a 120 South Amercan Cichlid tank by itself and it is by far the best filter I have ever used in the past 20 years. Plenty of circulation, tons of media area, and easy to use.

I probably had been keeping the lights on in there too long I'd say from 8 am till about 9 pm... but now I'm keeping the lights off to try to make the problem go away... Also, I am thinking of switching to that filter does it use alot off electricity? Or will keeping the lights of and putting up curtains be enough to get rid of the problem...

The tank was looking so clear before this though. I think it may have happened because we had moved some rocks that had alot of green algea on them and may have brushed the algea off the rocks into the tank when we moved them...
