I noticed that on tv, thought it was strange. The show is fake, they pay crazy amounts of money for some things and the restoration guys are charging ridiculous amounts of money to fix and restore the items.

Exactly! And the guy that restored the jeep didnt do hardly anything. It should have cost maybe $2,000 to do what they wanted done.

still entertaining. anyway my dad actually went to the shop ( without me =[ ) he said has a huge sign in the front saying AS SEEN ON TV and have shirts for sales of all the guys there (got a chumlee one) my dad said everything is pretty legit he asked one of the guys there if there is a script or anything my dad told me most of the show is legit but they throw some crazy stuff in there to make it fun to watch
