Thank you both, they really help get my mind working on what I want - seeing things a bit different than I had in mind make me see how they could be better, too... Blue - It looks a lot better than anything I could do. I never worked out how to use my scanner to get pics on the computer, have you tried taking a picture of it and just uploading the picture? Pretty ghetto, but it worked for me lol

If your artist can't draw what you want then why would you get a tattoo from them? Unless someone on here can tattoo you, you're asking the wrong place.
I think dogs look super cute peering out from behind leaves and flowers, maybe have he peeking out from a small curtain of wysteria?

Oh, I'm sure he can, but I'm not getting it any time SOON, and I want to get down exactly what I want and bring it to him then. For right now, I'm trying to figure out what I want... And having all of you guys toss up different ideas really helps.
Well i am a tattoo artist and from a professional point of view it is better to bring your artist as many ideas as possible,that way they have more of a feel of your personality by the ideas you like then they can put that together with their own and come up with some thing nice. I wish more people would do that then just come in to a shop and think we are suposse to know whats on your mind. As an artist i can only draw whats on my mind unless i have an idea of what you want. I think what you are doing is a great idea it gives the artist more of an opportunity to come up with some thing that fits you better. And by the way smpage i would never want to tattoo anyone who can come up with their own ideas either. just my two cents
