Hey guys. I see the ap100 has a 3/4" outlet. Is there a way to reduce this down so a standard 3/16" silicone tubing can be used?

I just used a 3/4" piece of vynil tubing connected to a 10 valve manifold. From there I ran silicone airline to my air disc.

Its actually 5/8" tubing now that I think about it. Most any where with aquatic supplies vendors sell them. Got mine on Ebay or Amazon, I forget.
You can get larger for future expansion and just close off unused valves.

Where there is a will there is a way. Can't think too into it cuz im slammed at work, but I would do something with plumbing adapter barbs. Off the top of my head go 3/4" barb to 1" barb, then 1" to 1/4", and then 1/4" to 3/16" cuz I doubt you will find 3/4" to 3/16" or even 1/4" straight. If you order online you might. Mess with some PVC pieces while in the hardware store. You can definitely do it. millerkid519 millerkid519

And of course I didn't mean 3/4" to 1" I meant to 1/2". That's the kind of work day it was. Plumbing is always a puzzle but you can make it work. Also consider upgrading your air stones to some with 1/4" line, will make life easier but maybe more expensive.

Take the stuff to your local hardware store if this is over your head. They'll do it for you.

Take the pump, take the airstones, and add a valve to control each airtstone. IF you can't explain that to them print this thread out and take it with you.......

Man... I used to work in the plumbing supply business, and while I would have been happy to help (because it as to do with fish...) most customer service people would hate you if you brought a printed online forum in order to sell you $7 worth of fittings... if they are smart enough to figure out what you need by reading this forum, they are smart enough to figure it out without the print out.

It can certainly be done, but small size fittings are hard to come by in some box stores. Lowes is stupid and only stocks small threaded fittings in metal. Find a real plumbing supply store, and these items will be much less expensive (unless you bring them all of the previous posts and ask them what you need - they likely won't have prices posted and will upcharge for stupidity...) but this total is $18 before tax... should be able to do it for less than $10.

This is getting confusing lol. Just to recap the ap100 has a 3/4" outlet. I'm looking to run 2 lines of silicone tubing to 3/16 or 3/8 diffusers. Haven't decided on the size I want yet. This setup will be fluidizing k1 kaldness in a 25 gLlin rectangular chamber

I wouldn't use metal. I live in the sticks and can still fab this stuff up with PVC and plastic barb fittings. I even use the same silicone on the threads as you use to reseal aquariums.

I posted some pics to give you an idea. Valves should be the same, the manifold would have a barb on one end, a cap on the other.

The valve that's red has a pair of barbs (whatever size hose you're running) to 1/2" thread adapters-1/2" PVC- 1/2" valve-1/2" PVC-1/2" thread adappter- whatever size hose you're running x1/2" male threaded barb.

Pump - 3/4" hose - 3/4" x3/4" male barb - Female 3/4" adapter - 3/4" PVC - 3/4" x 1/2" "T" -3/4" PVC-3/4"x1/2" "T"-3/4" PVC-3/4" cap. Put 1/2" to (whatever size line you're running) barbs on those 3/4"x1/2" "T"s.
