I can't find the dimensions of the 12 gallon, just the 24 gallon

16.5"L X 13"W X 17.5"H

150-170 bucks brand new.

Those are the dimensions of my tank. I just ordered a plant pack and 3 liters of ADA amazonian substrate. I am going to order my spilo on tommorow.

Thanks

as long as water flow through the back chamber before it reach the return pump you can fill it up with bio media.
here's how I have the built in sump setup on my 180g square tank.

I have it setup in a reversed direction, FX5 pumps water into the sump which is loaded with nylon pot scrubbers and water comes out from the overflow like a little water fall.

WOW thats like a huge version of my tank. Do you ever clean the pot scrubbers or do you just leave them in there?

Thanks

you don't need to clean bio media, other wise you'll wash away the beneficial bacterias. if the bio medias some how become very dirty and you want to clean them just wash them in a bucket filled with your tank water, don't use tap water other wise the chlorine and/or chloramine in tap water will kill them off.
