hey i am trying to get in touch whith anyone who keeps APISTOS to post in this thread list all of your appisto's unidentified or otherwise. apisto's are a great group and largely over looked.
please post details such as tank setups etc.

once i learn how to get these guys to breed, LOTS more will come! only about a month into keeping them!
 
japes could you please post a pic of your pair of "inka 50" if you have one, the importer im thinking of ordering from has these among many other types of apisto and i was thinking of ordering several to hang out around the bottom of my tank if i change my stock to only a GT with angels
 
3 apisto cacatouides in a 75 g with 5 bolivian rams, 3 balloon rams, 1 german blue ram. i have a 3d amazon background and loads of driftwood for them to hide in. also use kent blackwater extract with weekly w/c of 50% and 75% every other week. i love the apstos. their small but fiesty. have gotten them to breed twice. i think it was because i raised my water temp to about 82 degrees
 
do you have a picture of the 3D back round? also where did you get it?

after getting apistos, they seem like they are hard to breed. is this true?
