japes could you please post a pic of your pair of "inka 50" if you have one, the importer im thinking of ordering from has these among many other types of apisto and i was thinking of ordering several to hang out around the bottom of my tank if i change my stock to only a GT with angels

I couldn't for the life of me ever recommend a setup like that. There's some species of Apistogramma that will do alright with bigger species like that but most won't. They're best kept as the only Cichlid in the setup.

I currently have 1 pair of Apistogramma Macmasteri in a planted 20g Long...

I'm hoping to get another apisto pair when I get my 60 cube up and running again.

Just for fun, a full tanks shot:

do you have a picture of the 3D back round? also where did you get it?

after getting apistos, they seem like they are hard to breed. is this true?

im in the process of trying to figure out how to get good pics with my camera they come out to dark and if i use the flash its even worse. the background i got off of notjustfish.com. it was 129.00 i believe and the shipping was like 55.00. they are in cali so i got the background in about 5 days(weekend) plus im in az so it was pretty close.

as far as breeding i didnt really try it just happened. alot of people say to just give the apistos their own space in the tank and let nature take its course. i will post pics as soon as i get a good pic

cool just looked it up. do you have the amazon tree one??

and another question... do the A. agassizi get the raised dorsal rays like other Apistogramma species?

yeah thats it. i love it . a little cutting, silicon and patience. i got the 48x24 and had to take the upper frame off of my tank. luckily this place in michigan had the frame pretty cheap 11 or 12 bucks. i think the background was a pretty good investment.

ok so i managed to get some pics with my cell. it actually takes pictures a hell of a lot better than my digital camera. guess its time for an upgrade. couldnt get the apistos to come out but my bolivians and balloon rams werent shy at all. sorry if the pics arent up to standard but it gives you a rough idea of the 3d background
