Apparently my arowana is going to be over 6 feet long!

Bigfoot, the lochness monster and 4 plus foot long silver arowana. They all have people claiming they exist, yet no one ever can provide documented proof.

Actually the Igfa record is about 47" so i think a 4 footer is easily possible in the wild but not so sure about in tanks
 
At least the manager tried making small talk with you. Maybe he's a saltwater guy and only knows bits and pieces about freshwater monsters.

It could have been worse. I've had popular MFK members in my fish room telling me that my african arowana is going to need a 1,000 tank before. Explaining the difference between an afro and an arapaima did not sway them.

Sometimes it's better just to let things go. And no, I won't name names. :)

Does my African Arowana get a Red Tail too oh how cool would that be....Gosh I had a guy come in and say that Komodo Dragons get 15'-20' that's right I said Feet
