I have a 135 and I am getting ready to add water and start the cycle and I was wondering if I could put the following fish in the tank. They will all be bought as juvis and be put in the tank.
The measurments of the tank are 72x24x18. And it will be filtered by a 20gal wet/dry with 5gals of biomedia and 2 AC110's.

1. Jack Dempsey
2. Green Terror
3. Green Texas
4. Red Oscar
5. Gold Severum
6. 4-5 Silver dollars
the texas may cause problems but really aren't killers I've kept severums & they are mild all of these are mildly aggressive on average & as stated from juvies they would have already made a pecking order by the time they are adults so should conincide nicely keep the list you have no jags. or anything that may be overaggressive or predatory.. enjoy your tank just add a couple of smalle catfish & you're good to go.

I love the breed--greens, gold, rotkeils.....they are pretty susceptible to fin tearage/rot. More so than other breeds in my opinion. They are accessible other than the rotkeils. Convicts are fun and predictable breeders but with you are describing nothing is going to survive with young in a community tank of SA and CA.

The convicts are a fun, healthy breed.....it's just that the other players will get in there and eat the babies/eggs. Firemouths are another nice breed in my opinion....especially if you want some breeding activity for a while.

of the fish you list, I forsee the texas as being the bully. The rest of those aren't too bad, The Dempsey can be a firey booger but if theyu all started at the same time, in the same tank I don't think there would be too much problems.

As for the oscar, they may grow faster, but it won't grow so fast it will eat the others, plus they aren't really aggressive. They have great personalities but...they are reeeaaly messy eaters, filtration is key when they all get bigger.

Happy fish keeping to you!!!

if you're gonna throw cons in there, go with males.

I think i am going to take out the oscar and add some convicts...I am not sure if i want a pair or 2 males. Maybe some firemouths instead.
