Aqua dog like cichlids?

It's ok if you're alright with it. Derailment is only really an issue if it disrupts the purpose of the thread and keeps the OP from getting the info they need (basically, if you create a thread, you're pretty much free to derail it as much as you need to).

ok cool cause i got to make sure if a african brown knife is actually called a african black knife?? so i dont end up with the wrong fish for a 55G..:confused:

I'm not sure, really. I got mine from Petsmart, and I had no idea that it was SB until its growth drastically slowed down at about 5.5".

There is no such thing as an "african black knife". They are three separate species: African Brown Knife (max size: around 10"), Black Ghost Knife (max size: 18"+), and Brown Ghost Knife (max size: 11").

thought so it is labeled weird on their site but i identified the scientific name
