Pic 1 Is return from grow Bed..
Pic 2 Is what grow bed is made of/overall view of plumbing..
Pic 3 Is inflow to the grow bed..
Pic 4 Is the 175gph Pump the small tube is what is used to send water to the grow bed..
Pic 5 Is Bell Siphon Housing 4" to top of the pipe not including the cap..
Pic 6 Is the Overflow tube 3 1/2"..
Pic 7 Is the Return from the Grow Bed to The return Line from the bio-filter

Took it down and tore it apart and put it back together with the same parts in the pics minus the small air line water flow tube to the grow-bed.. used a water hose to fill the Trough and it siphon perfectly every time tired it 5 times every time it siphoned which leads me to believe their not enough water flow pressure to cause the suction that is needed.. simulated the t return line outside and it worked but when i hook it up to the air flow tube which puts water in the grow bed it never siphons when u pull the bell siphin off the overflow it make the suction noise but it will never siphon making the water level drop to drain the grow bed confused i can only think that it need more water flow..

Did some tinkering with the bell siphon now its to the point where u have to lift the bell siphon to get it to siphon whats going on here? once u lift it to a certain height it will siphon all the way to the air slits but why do i have to keep lifting the bell siphon??

It looks like the line zip tied to the pvc is pinched off. try loosening the zip tie. Also does the clear tube go into the center tube that the pvc sits on ?

Any updates? I was also thinking that the 2 returns that extend from the tee (pic #7) may be another factor. That syphon needs some gravitational pull to get started. Is it possible that Your drainage hits a flat spot too soon after exiting to not allow suction?

Thats what i swas thinkin if you look in Pic 2 you can see some small peice of pipe under the trough to raise the return Line to make it siphon... i may not have it high enough o it could need more space to push the air out... what gets me is i have to pick up the bell siphon half way of the overflow tube then it will siphon but will fill up again and wont siphon normally after that half to pick up the bell siphon again

I was tryin to figure out a way to get a little more high for the Trough to get more gravitational pull down to the tank but limited on space.... works perfect outside with the water hose... just thought it needed more water flow im gonna try to pick up the trough a little higher if dont work i will try another pump if it doesnt work just gonna trash the whole hydraponics and go back to WC which i kno works best and not worry bout plants just wanted them for the looks that it provide with the tank & the xtra nitrate removel while workin outta town but its gettin to be a hassle and really frustating...
