aquarium rays?

All of the P leopoldi at Shedd have full tails, so I am not sure what you are referring to. The only rays that are 'stumpy' are our 3 Ceja Rays, Paratrygon aiereba. They were like that when we acquired them, and they often loose their tails because they are so thin. Perhaps you thought it was another species since there is a female pearl ray in the same exhibit with them and I'm guessing you might not have seen the top of their disc since they love to stick themselves to the glass. The males claspers are also a bit raw right now. That is from a bit of 'overuse 'as we recently had a birth and the males have been very interested in mom since.

yes i saw those ones stuck to the glass...this one that i am talking about was in the first tank with the flowers....it was the biggest one in the tank...it was in the spot with all the logs so it could have had it under the logs, but i don't remember that it did...

Was the tail like this picture? This P14 pup was born without a tail..

We do not have flower rays, so I'm going to guess that you are talking about the tiger rays. The largest female does not have a full tail but the tail is at least 2 feet long so I'm still not sure what you are talking about.

i could have sware i seen a flower in there, but i was very tired...when i get very tired it is like i am drunk so idk...i didn't sleep for a few days and drove the 7hrs there and 7 hrs back in one day...so it is all blurred now like tring to remember what happend after a heavy night of drinking...
