Well I bought myself my 220 early for Christmas. My friend is buying me a fish and I'm buying him one. And my mom bought me a Odyssey CFS700. Pretty pumped about everything

what about a 150 60x24x24? your parents might let you "meet in the middle"...yea I defenetly agree, a 180 is better... width is good, more floor space front nto back will help, just not help as much as length...if you can't get a tank over 125 what dimentions will you get?

are you doing cichlids in your 220?

ATM I have a 12" Florida gar 2 Rotkeil Severums, 2 Bala sharks, and an eclipse cat. I'm probably just going to do a Severum community.

Wish i was getting fish stuff for Christmas, Dad already made it clear that 4 feet was the biggest a tank could be :( although I almost got him to let me get a 150 once... Although hose that hooks up to the sink for water changing would be awesome.

150 would be awesome.. If I can't go over 125 I'll probably give up my tank and get a terrarium.

if you are limited on a 4 ft tank get one of these...
105 gallon 48x24x21
110 gallon 48x18x30
120 gallon 48x24x24(I have this tank...)
150 gallon 48x24x30
240 gallon 48x48x24

the 120 48x24x24 is very short, but it is WIDE, lots of surface area front to back, a 72x18x21 is a little better but a 4x2x2 is a lot better than 55s, 75s 90s... 105s are not so common but there was onen at my fish store and I wish I had gotten that instead on my 4x2x2 bbeacause it was probibly cheaper and just 3 inches shorter...
