Aquariums at the Workplace

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i am going to be setting up a small tank at my office. just havent gotten around to it yet. i was thinking of maybe a loach growout tank w/ a few topwater fish.

Theres a 55G at my workplace. (School). It has a simple internal filter, no fish, algae all over and recieves no attention.

my mom works at a bank that has a 30-40g filled with goldfish and some bottom feeders.

and I used to work at a ford dealership and some d-bags had a betta in one of those plant and marbel vases that they never took care of. One day I really thought about just taking him home but I never did. I came in the next day and the vase was there with no betta. I should've taken him :-(

the Chinese restaurants by me always have really cool fish too. One of them has about a 140g tank ridiculously overstocked with africans and the other one has a 40g also overstocked with much smaller africans.

I'm seriously considering getting my mom a small (29 gal) tank fro her massage business one of these days. It's be relaxing to watch the fish while getting a massage!!

My personal office tank if that counts. Sits next to the puter of course. Gold gardneri starting to show some nice color. These were super bland as fry!

_Sushi_: Make it planted!!!

Oii: You may not know, but overcrowding africans is a great and effective way to dispearse aggression. Not only does it add colour, but there is no alpha male to attack everything. So long as the filter can handle the bio-load, there is NO problem.

I know that but these look like feeder tanks.

Are you talking about China Best? :grinno: It's a 75g, and I think it only has an Oscar and an OB Peacock now, and probably that monster PLeco still. I remember when that place opened they had a silver Aro in it, and then one day it was just gone. I hope they sold it off, I'd hate to see another silver die in a 75g.

my vets office has a 55 gallon packed with lake malawi cichlids. i took my dog in about a month ago and saw that their fish were all gasping at the top and there was no current in the tank atall--i told the girl at the desk and she told me that petland services their tanks and she called them immediately--the ladies working the desk had no idea anything was wrong.. the tank was overstocked and needed a good cleaning--it looked horrible..
i havent been back to see the results..
