Aquascape Hassle with Hystrix

That sucks to hear. I'm pretty sure I was just about the first to order because when I called they had to double check the price with the forum listing. I ended up getting great service and she called me right before it got shipped out just to confirm with me the order was on the way. Ray came in pretty healthy and about 4.5-5 inches.

Needless to say I wish I ordered two because I have been thinkin about getting another one but just am not sure about the size or condition of what Ive been reading lately
 
I was told about this review and had to check it out. And I have to say, I am a little disappointed. Not at you,(AquataholicH20) but at my staff in the back. I specifically told them to send you the largest ones we had, because of all the issues during the order. Unfortunately I do not get to see them put the fish in the box. So I didn't realize until now, that they sent you the smallest ones.

As for the communication thing, please understand that I am running two businesses at once. I have the internet and the walkins on a daily basis. Not making excuses just saying. I might not always get back to everyone exactly when I am supposed to but it does get pretty crazy for me here. I try to make up for it by just making sure that everyone is happy in the end. And as I can see, that is not the case this time.
But just like everyone needs communication on my end, I need it from the customers too. If you were unhappy with the order, when I called you could have expressed how you felt then. I do not remember any mention of being skinny or tiny. However, I do remember the box leaking information. But that is all he said, she said, and that isn't the point of the post.
If you were unhappy I would have liked to know about it. That way I could address it and attempt to fix it right away. And it doesn't go a week, and I by some chance fall on a thread like this.

Nicole, it says a lot that you came on here to try to help clear things up. I'm happy with the little girl hystrix I got but would have preferred to have a larger one as we had talked about since she is nowhere near the size of my male. That being said, I did not make a complaint to Pedro when I called the next day as I figured it was well past the point to bother. I mean, I really didn't expect you to send me another one as I could not send that one back. You were also quite nice to deal with when I called EVERY day to check on the order. As you know I was very limited on when I could receive a shipment and, though not trying to rush you, was looking for hard answers so I could schedule. All in all I will deal with you guys again and when that happens, I hope there is better communication all around.

i am very happy with the treatment at aquascape. i knew that $75 was a steal, you get what they have!I drove an hour and a half one way to pick them out, sure they tore the bags and leaked a little, but they had great stock and EXPLAINED THAT THE NEWEST SHIPMENT OF MOTOROS WASNT READY FOR SALE, simple as that, de worm, quarentine, whatever, they not readyfor selling them , im not buying them!! these come from far , far away , there taking the risk .oops a few small ones shipped, ut oh, next time buy em at ure local store for $140.They probly sold 60 to happy customers and 3 got what was left at the end.

Ah, maybe..but we were told they got in a second batch and had larger ones. And, in that case, we were top on the list when we called. Is what it is. Price was good, rays for me are good. And by the way, my LFS can get them for me for $50. That being said, I still went with Aquascape. I do believe that beats a 1.5hr drive...and I paid $125 with shipping, lets factor that in. Ut oh!
 
Well, my job is to make customers happy. If I am not making customers happy, I am not doing my job. Which means I would eventually not have one. I enjoy my job. So when someone says they had bad experience it bothers me. Because everyone always remembers the bad. No matter how many threads say how great everything is, they'll remember the one bad one. And I don't even have any feedback under my name so it makes it twice as hard to back up good customer experience. ;)
When a customer says its a little small, I just think it is smaller than they thought it would be. As opposed to now, I am finding out how tiny they are. And I do appologize for that. Hopefully we can carry on from this and I can make up for it next time. So then this thread will become old news.

I was very happy with the purchase of my hystrix. You put them aside for me to pick up at the shop and everything went fine. Mistakes are going to happen, which may be frustrating to the customer experiencing it, but it's how you deal with them that will determine whether you have a job or not. The fact that you're here addressing the issue should go a long way.
I was impressed with the stock in the store, it's a well kept place.

Nicole, I would have to say your persistence to customer satisfaction at this point is very much appreciated. To anyone reading this, I would like to keep the conversations between me and her private, however I need to express that she is a complete professional and Aquascape was able to turn this experience into a transaction that I am happy with. I received my 3 hystrix about an hour ago it did take them about two weeks to get shipped out but it was worth the wait they all arrived looking healthy. almost wanna get two more!
