Its simple. Older folks still do the more traditional events. Aquashealla is for Youtubers. My guess is that the age of the average attendee is in the low 30s while the more traditional events it will be much older.
What I find most interesting is the revival of black lights. Talks about going back to the 60s. I know because I was there.
The only reason I would be likely yo attend this event would be as a vendor.
But lets be clear here. This is where the fishkeepers of tomorrow will be found. Times change and this is the direction in which the hobby is moving.
One last note here. Check the list of vendors, the salties way outnumber the freshies, for whatever that is worth.
