I'm considering getting a lizard for one of my tanks. I want something that is semi aquatic and wont outgrow a 60 gallon, and the more crocadilian looking the better. :D Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

crocodile skink or a chinese alligator lizard, but i think that 60 might be snug for it.

Shinisaurus crocodilurus is majorly threatened due to restricted habitat...and illegal to collect for the pet trade I do believe. Anyone ever seen them for sale?

Caiman lizards (Dracaena sp, yes like the plant) are an aquatic lizard, but far too large for a 60 (and expensive to boot).

Some of the basalisk lizards are also semi aquatic but again require more room.

about 10 times what a 60 gallon is ,that would be suitible for their water container though.

caimen, think it's spelled caymen but not sure. They'll eat just about anything if you get em' young and teach em'. Wild caught specimins are a different story.
